Fleet & Crew

MINOVATION was formed in 1997 by Chief Flying Instructor Min Stokes. She learned to fly in  Jersey, Channel Islands and flew in the UK, France and USA and instructed in Jersey before before moving to Australia in 1993.

The school was set up as an alternative to the large flight schools and to be a place where people could receive quality one-on-one training tailored to the individual student in a small and friendly environment.

Our staff are all career instructors who will see your training all the way through until you get your licence.

We specialise in realistically preparing pilots for their first job in aviation to give them a real advantage when starting their flying career.

We have also developed a base where overseas pilots can come and hire an aircraft and enjoy a flying holiday.

Once you have completed your licence we have several Piper aircraft available for private hire so that you can explore Australia by air.

The Dakota is often used for private hire. With a variable pitch propeller and fixed undercarriage this aircraft is ideal for longer trips away and trips where a high payload is needed. The Dakota is the aircraft we use for CPL training.

Piper PA28 Archer

The Archer is ideal for a trip away. Comfortable and with 180 horsepower engine to give a cruising speed of 115 knots, able to carry more load than the Warrior and with autopilot to relieve the workload on a long flight.
